Design Guide for KU Web Sites
While the other Webtools sections explain how to implement KU web pages, this Design Guide helps you decide what to implement and how to present it visually.
Why your web site is important
It's important to remember that even if you have a top-ranked program, many prospective students (especially those from out-of-state) will make their initial assessment of you and your program based solely on your web site. Therefore, it's vital that your web site:
- Clearly explains why your program is a great choice or how your unit can benefit the user, and
- Present the information in a professional manner to increase your credibility in their eyes (since the user might know nothing about you or KU).
