Widgets for KU Websites

Most of the below listed widgets are being superseded by new funcitonality available in the KU CMS, and will no longer be maintained. For more information on the KU CMS, visit the website.

Below are several self-contained widgets that you can use on your own KU site. Adding a widget is easy (it's usually just a few lines of code), but that doesn't mean it will limit your site's individuality or creative freedom.

Each widget:

  • Can be customized through a variety of well-documented settings.
  • Uses standard HTML and CSS whenever possible, allowing you to override the default styles and integrate it into your site's design.
  • Helps keep your site's content updated automatically, and follows best practices and standards for design and content.

Generally, these widgets make use of SSI variables (similar to the KU template) and require your site to be hosted on a central KU webserver such as www2.ku.edu. For specific requirements, read the fine print on each widget's page.

There are several widgets available right now, and more are being added all the time. Please check this page frequently for updates.
